Ok, enough sappy stuff. Today we were supposed to have a showing on the house, so we slave all morning to get the house all clean and presentable, schedule Jaxsons feedings so that he will be fed just before we have to leave for the showing, pack up all the stuff we need for Jax and Kahlua and head next door to Alan and Megans so that we are out of the house in time. The benefit of being next door, is we can watch out the window to see who is looking to buy the house and we can know exactly when they leave so we don't have to be out of the house any longer than we have to. Well, all that work and...they never show up. Apparantly the prospective buyer got ill, and their agent called our agents office to cancel the showing...but we never got the message. Oh well, the house needed a cleaning anyway and we got a great dinner out of it. Alan and Megan made 'adult' cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, Fresh baked artisan bread with proscuitto and gouda grilled to perfection, yummy!

Happy Birthday, Jaxson!!! Can't believe I let that one slip right by me! Drew, I just love your sense of humor - right down to the number of diapers Jaxson messed in. Pretty soon you will be able to do away with the middle of the night expressing milk. You don't quite realize it now, but there will be a lot of phases that Jaxson will go through as you keep on wishing for the next phase to begin, you will suddenly realize that you missed the old phase. An example is when our kids moved on from one school to another (elementary, middle and high school), we realized that we missed all the activities they were involved in at the former school, or when the sport of the season ended, we wished it didn't end. It all goes by so fast.
ReplyDeleteSorry about all the work you had to go through to get your house ready for a showing that didn't happen. That is the frustrating part of trying to sell a house. Hopefully, when that person feels better, he/she will come back and buy your house. Glad to hear you had such a wonderful dinner with Alan and Megan. They are truly wonderful people. Dinner sounded absolutely delicious. Megan is always so creative in her cooking. Maybe we could try making that while you guys are here for Christmas. Did I tell you how excited I am that you all are coming for Christmas???!!!
Love the outfit! he could model for crewcuts :)
